The object of the trip includes collecting samples, gathering information on handicraft and home decoration and learning about US distribution channels. The delegation will also introduce Viet Nam home-decorations to importers.
The delegation will visit the annual Las Vegas Furniture Market, the global stage for introducing new home furnishings, including furniture, bedding, accessories, lighting, rugs, wall decor and gift products.
The market features emerging styles and trends from top designers and leading manufactures as well as thousands of direction-setting product debuts.
More than 1,500 companies will be represented in both permanent showrooms and temporary exhibits. The market is expected to attract about 50,000 local and foreign visitors from Asia, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East.
The US market, the biggest, is always on the move so Vietnamese firms will be able to catch the latest trends, said Tran Quoc Manh, general manager of Sai Gon Trade and Production Development Corporation (Sadaco).
According to Nguyen Thanh Phong, general secretary of the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of HCM City, US customers always buy more at the end of the year, so US importers gear up for this festive period.
