Essential Knowledge

Besides Hard Fork, there are concepts like soft fork, template fork, etc. Before we delve into these flexible, rigid, and other specialized terms, we want to provide an explanation of these terminologies. Translating into Vietnamese, it’s called Nĩa cứng, which is quite strange and difficult to understand, isn’t it? The goal is to ensure we all share a common understanding.

Blockchain Protocol (Blockchain Protocol Status)

It is a code convention aimed at defining rules for mining, connecting, and transacting. To be part of a Network, you must adhere to the protocol conventions.

Since inception, Blockchain Protocol has released several versions to optimize for investors. Each version has its own significant features such as:

  • Proof-of-work: Transform energy into value.
  • Proof-of-Stake: Say goodbye to mining machines.
  • Delegated Proof-of-stake: Choose reputable nodes.
  • Proof-of-weight: Your node’s weight depends on this.
Fork (Nĩa, branch)

Continuing from Hard Fork, a fork involves a new and different protocol version compared to the main version.

Transaction Reversal

With counterfeit money, authorities can imprison the scammer, but it’s really hard to handle or refund those who used it as genuine currency. Quite problematic, isn’t it? In the cryptocurrency world, that risk can be significantly reduced. When the community detects security issues, they can announce that all transactions from a certain date are invalid. As if it never happened.

Have you ever thought about making a mistake and wanting to rewind time to fix or change your errors? Here, transaction reversal becomes possible. For honest previous transactions, we just re-execute the transactions, but for malicious actors, it’s unnecessary; we’ve found a solution to deal with such sneaky acts.

What is Soft Fork?

Continuing from Hard Fork, let’s learn a bit about Soft Fork. As mentioned earlier, Soft Fork is a type of protocol change but with backward compatibility.

What is Soft Fork? Understanding the difference between Soft Fork and Hard Fork
What is Soft Fork?

Example: Let’s take traffic rules as an example (since they are quite similar). Vietnam has an old rule that the minimum speed on highways is 40km/h and the maximum is 120km/h. Starting from 31/12/2019, the state decreed that the minimum speed would be 50km/h, while the maximum remains 120km/h. What happens to drivers? For most vehicle-supported assistants, drivers traveling at an average speed of 60km/h will see no change because they still meet the allowed conditions. But what if you drive at 40km/h? — You don’t need to upgrade your vehicle’s support system, but you do need to accelerate.

Similarly, you don’t have to immediately upgrade your Blockchain version to a soft version; you can still operate the old way unless you want to change something in the protocol to avoid errors or violations.

Adding More New Features

New windows, Microsoft Windows 10, XP, 7, 8, etc., are some of the best. The code, software, rewards, and features of your Blockchain. Therefore, Blockchain is different in various aspects, with other features and rewards themselves.

What is a T-junction?

It occurs when a Blockchain transaction is replaced by changing how their features are used.

What is a Hard Fork?

Software that can be used for most of the time. This phrase seems to be rather straightforward.

If you own a motorcycle and a computer, talents and skills, and cryptocurrencies, both are interconnected in your life. This is one of the most critical issues. Art in the future sounds like the echoes of the Black Mirror mirror.

What is a Hard Fork? How does it differ from a Soft Fork?
What is a Hard Fork? How does it differ from a Soft Fork?

Returning to us After a Hard Fork, the new version and the Information, documents, culture, love, and design of your blockchain are updated.

Documentation

Important in documentation and culture while you are using ro ro. There may be parts of them, fragments of it, parts of it. Some of ours are quite different. Now, when we are here. Cryptocurrency, data, time, and moments.

What is a Hard Shell?

Bitcoin Cash (Bitcoin Cash)

Bitcoin and the minimum are powerful.

What happened: The six hard Forks caused Bitcoin Cash to become a completely new type of currency, separate from Bitcoin before the hard Fork, which would receive a similar amount in a Bitcoin Cash wallet.

When combined: August 1, 2017.

You can earn Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.

Conclusion

Whether hardware or software, Hard Fork or Soft Fork. Our information about software stays relevant.
